Alluvium is the sediment that’s carried by a river and deposited to make fertile soil. In the same way, our team is working to enrich the climate adaptation efforts of communities and organizations around the country.
What We Do
If you are a community, corporation, government, or Tribal Nation seeking support for an adaptation or resilience project, we’re eager to contribute. From vulnerability assessments to outreach campaigns to grant writing and more, we’re experienced and ready to work with you.

We’ll work with you to identify climate hazards and exposed assets and assess your community’s vulnerabilities to climate change-related impacts. We offer both spatial and narrative assessments.

We offer adaptation planning on its own or as a continuation of a vulnerability assessment. We can identify adaptation approaches, suggest implementation tactics, and if desired, monitor the effectiveness of those tactics put into effect.

We offer services including, but not limited to, educational community outreach, conflict resolution and consensus-building mediation, qualitative research, copywriting and social media promotion, newsletter management, and graphic or website design.

Our core team as well as our network have deep experience in writing and earning grants from federal, state, and private sources. We work hard to understand the history and voice of each community we work with, and we apply this to grant writing so that deliverables are accurate, personalized, and effective. We have strong research and writing skills, resolute attention to equity, and a track record of both quality and efficiency.
Who We Are
Our core team brings to this work decades of experience across a broad range of climate and environment niches. We are known for our compassionate and diligent approach to collaborating with all kinds of communities, as well as for showing up to formidable climate discussions with expertise and a warm balance of sincerity and levity. We are Frank and Olivia, but we are also a patchwork of practitioners around the country and beyond. We’re building something bigger so that we can rise to any challenge.
